Sensory Workshops for Parents & Educators
The Dual-Purpose Workshop: Regulation for You, Tools for Them.
Our workshops offer a unique approach to sensory integration. Because your audience includes parents and educators, our strategies serve a dual purpose: they provide immediate regulation for the adults during the session, and they act as live-modeled, actionable tools that can be instantly applied in homes and classrooms. We bridge the gap between creative expression and nervous system regulation.
Our Core Philosophy: Experiential Learning & Empathy
Our workshops offer a unique approach to sensory integration. Because your audience includes parents and educators, our strategies serve a dual purpose: they provide immediate regulation for the adults during the session, and they act as live-modeled, actionable tools that can be instantly applied in homes and classrooms. We bridge the gap between creative expression and nervous system regulation.

Before teaching any art techniques, we invite participants to feel the impact of sensory differences firsthand:
The Grip Experiment: Participants write a phrase first with a standard pen, then repeat it using a heavily weighted pen or a foam-wrapped pencil.
The Discussion: We ask which pen felt more grounding or reduced hand fatigue. This demonstrates that children with poor proprioception feel this difference every day.
The Takeaway: This immediate empathy helps you spot subtle sensory clues, like a child who presses too hard or too light on paper.

When we demonstrate a technique, we explicitly name the sensory system it targets, giving you the educational foundation for every action:
Example: Instead of saying, "Here is a fun way to use a vertical surface," we say: "Taping this paper to the wall forces the shoulder muscles to engage. This builds the core strength needed for children to sit still and focus at a desk."
